Background/Discussion Staff is preparing a grant application for federal funding on the Twin Lakes Road Extension consistent with the project funding sources identified in the CIP. This project consists of recommended improvements from a number of different studies including the Twin Lakes Road Corridor study, the st 171 Avenue FAST study, the Yale Street Feasibility Report, and the Natures Edge Phase I & II development projects. The attached figure shows the proposed limits of the project. This conceptual layout, which is preliminary and will need to be vetted through a public engagement process, will serve as the basis for the project cost estimates that needs to be include in our grant application. The grant application is due by January 4, 2019. If successful in securing funding, construction would be anticipated by 2022 or 2023. Incorporating comments received at this meeting, we will finalize the grant application and prepare a formal resolution, supporting the application of the grant, for approval by the Council at the December 17 meeting.
