The ceuncil was approached on the possibility of extending the sanitary sewer,
under c<llntract, t. his apartments, and that thiB.:::1MD.Jha9.hau:e.p development might
be inter'e"sted in participating. He \~s advised that annexation would be the
l':lost legical solution as there wou;I.d betGo many prQblems under a contract
basis. The Council will obtain serne CGSt figures fremthe Village Engineer.
G~cd.man was advised to talk to J4eldenhauer and. that he petitien the Village
for annexation. After additilimal inferm~tion is gathered, a meeting will be
called with all these inv31ved.
Discussi$n ~~th Earl Hohlen en a No Truck Parking Ordinance. Agreeable that

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS-
Sealed Bids will be received by the
Village of Elk River, Minnesota, at
the Village Hall until 8:00 P.~., on
Monday, August 4, 1969, for makmg of
the following described street improve-
ments. The work consists of approxi-
mately 1,200 feet of concrete curb and
gutter, 1,200 tons of plant mixed bitu-
minous paving and 2,400 tons of gravel
as shown on and according to the
plans and specifications on file at the
office of the Village Clerk and the office
of the Engineer, Mills Engineering
Company, Long Lake, Minnesota. The
bids will be Publicly opened and read
at the above mentioned time and place
for the consideration of the Village
Council.
All bids shall be made on the pro-
posal forms of the Village and shall
be accompanied by a cash deposit
cashier's check, certified check or bid
bond payable to the Village Clerk for
not less than 5 % of the amount bid.
Bids shall be directed to the Village
Clerk, William Konop, Elk River, Min-
nesota. The Village reserves the right
to reject any and all bids, waive any
informalities and make the award in
the best interests of the Village.
Copies of the plans and llpecifica-
tions will be furnished on request by
the Engineer to any prospective bidder
upon a deposit of $10.00 to guarantee
their safe return within 10 days after
the bid opening date.

Section Four (4). Ordinance No. SS dated May 5. 1958.
and ntitled "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 39" is hereby
repealed.
Section Five (5). The owner or proprietor' of any business
premises licensed for the conduct and sale of non-intoxicating
malt liquors pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 34 of
March. 1936. as amended, or any bottle club, may apply to this
Council for permit to allow the consumption or display of intoxi-
cating liquor or the serving of any liquid for the purpose of
mixing intoxicating liquor, which permit may be issued by the
Council at its discretion upon payment of a permit fee of $50.00
to the clerk and upon further proof of a permit issued by the
Liquor Control Commission of the State of Minnesota pursuant to
the provisions of alapter 340.119, Subd. 3. Minnesota Statutes,
licensing the subject premises for said purposes. The Council
reserves the right before the issuance of any permit contemplated
by the proviSions of this Ordinance to investiage the applicant
therefor through its own police department.or otherwise, or to
require such further and additional proof from the applicant
as it may from time to time determine pursuant to the issuance
of said permit. The permit issued previous to the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be for a period of one year to expire
on July 1st next following issuanee thereof and must be renewed
annually on July 1st upon the payment of the $50.00 permit fee.
Section Six (6). This Ordinance shall be effective on
August I, 1969, or upon publication thereof whichever date is
later.
