Agreeable to change our September meeting nights to Sept. 8 and 22 because of conflict.ion with Labor Day. The clerk was instruoted to place a nrJce in the Sherburne County Star News. Agreeable to p~rchase a $5,000.00 C.D. from the Poor Fund and a $1,300.00 C.D. from the Public Reserve Fund. At g: 00 pm, f1ayor Bartelt olosed the Bids were reqeived as follows: H &,8 Asphalt Co. Gil~ and Nelson Constr. Hard,rives, Inc. bids for the 1969 Street Improvements. $ 24:1'653.74 25,1S9.95 ..29,060.,91 . ,. After tabulation by William Mills, H&S Asphalts bid was reduced to $24,593.74 and Gile and Nel~on Constr. bid was increased to $25,337.95. Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Hudson, to accept the low bid of H & S Asphalt Co., for the 1969 street improveme~ts as outlined in the ~utes of July 7, 1969 meeting, H & S Asphalt Co., being judged cOIll-petent by the Village Engineer and cauthorizing the Ma~r and the Village Clerk to si~n a contract in the amolL~t of $24,593.74 based on estL~te of quanti~ies~ Motion un~minously carried. Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Counci.lman Syring, authorizing 1tiilliam Mills to prepare a preliminary s'i.lI'Vey for watermain a...1d sanitary sewer extensions to the prope~ty line of the area o~med by Elk R~ver Associated Investors. Motion una.minously ca.rried. Mills reported a estimated cost of $1,900,,00 to pave a 25' alley ,behind Nickersons Coa.st to Coast and Kemper Drug. Gra.ding, paving ,the alley and the remainder of the anea would cQst approximately $3,590.00.. CounCWIla.ll Syring will approach the businessmen with these figures.
