The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Village Council of the
Vlllage' of Elk River, Wis called to order by MaJlOr Bartelt at
7:30 pm, Monday, Oct. 6, 1969, all members present.,
Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman McRae n
to renew the on and off sale 3.3 beer'license at Sachs River- (.
side Store. Motion unaminously carried.
August Meyer r~ported tJat his waterline to the vil.lage, watermain
is rusting through account-too long a line and requested-that
the watermain from Jackson Avenue be extended to his property.
He was advised to present: a petition to the council requestirg
this improvement. Comp:l;.aint was also received on the refuse
tank trucks being parked overnight across the street frOm his
place of' business. -Elk:RiverSanitation will be contacted.
At 8:00 pm, ~~yor Bartelt reported that the taking bf bids for
th~ Village dumpt :bruck/be closed and that no further bids
would be accepted.
Bids were received as follows:
Chas.Olson & Sons, Mpls,'dump body only $1,646.00.
Custom l'16tors, Elk River; l-iodel 1800 Int'l complete with,~body
and plow $9,240.00. ) - ~

that the building permit application presented by Curtis Briggs
be denied, pending further information from the applicant.
Motion unaminously carried.
At 330 pm, the meeting with the businessmen regarding improvement of the area behind
Coast to Coast, Davis etc., convened, present were Frank Dreissig, Cyril Lenzmeier,
lvf.ilt Dwyer and Dick Grosslein. No progress was made.
Moved by Councilman McRae and seconded by Councilman Hudson, to adopt Ordinance No. 84,
annexation of the Industrial Park. Motion unaminously carried.
Guy Varty and Da.e Halgren, representing the Elk River Youth Hockey Association, pre-
sented their youth hockey program and requested aid. Set of boards at the Junlhor High
cost $200.00, additional ice at various other areas in town and another set of boards,
lights and rink next to the existing Senior High rink, cost $1,750.00.

of the specifications by Les Derr and Councilman Hudson, to accept the low bid of
Custom Motors in the amount of $9,240.00 for a. Model 1800 Int'l, ~rl dump truck

Section 1. That the following described real estate situated in
the County of Sherburne, State of Minneaota, and described. as

clerk was instructed to write a letter to fir. Nelson adviSing him that the animals
must be moved.
