A joint meeting of the Elk River Village Council and the Elk River 'Utilities
CoItmission was held at 8:30 pm Dec. 2, 1969, Hudson absent.
Discussion followed on a future building iora Village Hall. Me~!,~ie:b.ed were
the Flaherty Building that can be purchased for $55,000.00 and the Nickerson
Building.
Agreeable that sui table land should be purchased now wi th a consolidated
building to follow in the future. Possible site suggested was the land from
the Buttermiihk Flat~ South to 4th street. M~or Bartelt will look in to this
piece of property.

Halter reported the need now, for an Officer Manager and for another man to
break in as Superintendent in 1979 and 1971 'as he would be working part time
in 197ID and would be retiring at the end of 1971.
Agreeable that the wage scale and fringe benefits should be uniform with both
Utilities and Village Employees.
The UtilitiesComnUssion will make a study with the expectation of a rate
increase in electric rates.
