SUBJECT: Ice Arena Grant Update
ITEM 5.21.
As expected, the School District at its 12/12/95 board meeting, approved the
real estate agreement for the ice arena project. This agreement essentially
provided for the transfer of land from the school to the city for the site where
the second ice arena is scheduled to be built.
It is anticipated that sometime on Monday, December 18, 1995, the city will
receive notification from the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission,
regarding the status of our Mighty Ducks Ice Arena Grant Proposal. I will be
providing the City Council with a verbal update on the status of our grant
proposal Monday evening.
