The regular semi-mOnthly meeting' of the Elk River Village C@uncil of the Village
ef Elk River, Minn.,. was called. to order by May~r Bartelt em Jan. 5, l'~O, in
the Council Roem of the Municipal Building at 7:30 pm" all members were present
as fellows: Mayor ~rtelt" Councilmen Hui.sfm" Syring" Micheau and Kenopo

Clayten Eckhart from:Elk Riv~r Sanitation made a verbal complaint of the $~O.OO
monthly charge for u~e ef the villa.ge dump. He also suggested that the ,tilla.ge
should license the c~mmercial garbage haulers.

Moved by Councilman KlDnop and seconded by Councilman Syring to reappeint Dan
Bailey te a three year term and Hilmer Bartelt as the councils representative for
a one year term on the Elk River Planning Commission. Motion unaminously carried.
Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Y~cheau, te reappoint
William Patenaude to a three year term em the Utili ties Cemmissien. Hotion unami-
nously carried.

Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman Syring" to purchase one
gas-fired 225,,000 BTU Furnace with coo~ing unit from M~os Plumbing and Heating,
cost to be $1,,633.14. Motion unaminously carried.
