Reported that Halter i.llill retire Dec. 31, 1970 and that Patellaude will be
appointed Utilities Superiatendent. Pa'teDaude will work all interim period of
4 mORtha befo.re offi,cially taking over as Super.intendent OR Ju.. 1, 1971. Also
reported that Sykes will pesign as membe~ of the Utilities COmmission M&rch 1,
1970 and that he will be appointed Utilities Office Maaager to be effective
a.t oace.

The meeting idth the Utilities Commission adjourned.

Gary Koehler, County \'ielfare Dir"ector and. Dale Palmer, Sherbume County Assessor
who were cOllcerned with the possibility of all loW' housing complex ia Elk River,
reported that if it would be low cost family housing, with 3 bedrooms or indivi-
dual houses, it could' affect Sherbume County Welfare Funds as the comity could
be responsible for more than a usual ,number of welfare cases. Pal1n.er. will check
OR the tax amgle.
Earl Hohlell proposed a burglar AlaI'Jl 'System far the village busiJlesses cmd 24
hour dispatching for the police department. Hohlen, HU~50. and B~telt will
gather facts,udfigures. '
Moved by CouncilmaR Hud~om alOl.dsecoft!ied by Councilmam. Koltop, to allot $25.00
towards promotioR of a safety booklet that is to be distributed to school
children in 4th grade or l.mder. 11otion unaminously carried.
