Action Requested
Adopt,by motion, an amendment to Resolution 18-72, 2019 Compensation Plan.
Background/Discussion
Resolution 18-72, 2019 Compensation Plan, was adopted by the City Council on December 17, 2018.
When implementing item 9,pay for part-time liquor store clerks,it was discovered that employees paid at
the top of the 2018 pay scale were paid slightly less than step D of the new scale. Moving them to step D
on the new scale would not provide a 3% general increase, which was approved in the 2019
Compensation Plan.
This amendment changes the language of item 9 to allow a 3%increase on December 23, 2018, for
employees currently at the top of the 2018 pay scale, and a step to E on June 23, 2019,based on
satisfactory performance.
Financial Impact
This amendment effects only how employees transition into the newly defined pay range. Any financial
impact has been accounted for in the budget and will be managed within this enterprise fund.
