ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
April 7, 1956
The town board met in regular session with all members present.

A group of farmers were Present to discuss the problem of gopher bounty. Fred Pirie told how it
was carried on in Burns Township. Orville Bernard made a motion, seconded by Oscar Engstrom
and carried that the township get along this year and see how it goes. The township will pay 15 cents
and the County 15 cents per gopher. Al Brown met with the board but no action was taken
