PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 13, 1956
The annual meeting of the Town Board of Elk River was called to order by Everett Rathbun.
The Treas. report from March 1, 1955 to March of 1956 was read.
It was moved and seconded that $3000 be levied for Road & Bridge Fund. Passed.
The motion was made and seconded that Elk River Township does not participate in the Gopher
program and not pay bounty. Passed.
A.L. Powell was elected Moderator for the meeting and election.
The motion was made and carried that the Annual Town meeting be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Carried.
Election was held for Supervisor for 3 years and Town Clerk for 2 years. Supervisors for the Minn.
Soil Cons. Distr. were voted on.
Polls declared closed at 4 p.m. by Moderator.
