Also to learn the design methods used by today's standards in the layout and
operations of underground distribution systems.
WHAT INFORMATION WAS LEARNED BY ATTENDING? We learned about easements
and we must obtain formal easments. For obtaining grant money we should try to piggyback with
other utilities. Mandate conversion to urd to other facilities in pole attachment aggreements.
Cooper's oil freezes in storage? Low bid transformers results in higher operating costs. We also
went over the NESC for underground systems. It is code that whenever you cut a cable you must
maintain neutral continuity. Also we must have an inspection program and record defects.
