Staff report presented by Chris Leeseberg. Saxon Motors requests an amendment to their
conditional use permit to allow a 5,358 square foot, 2-story addition to their existing
building. Mr. Leeseberg reviewed location, zoning requirements, Wild and Scenic/Shoreland
Regulation issues, access and circulation, and landscaping. Staff recommends that this
request be tabled to the October 8, 2002 Special Meeting in order for the applicant to
provide additional information regarding the Wild and Scenic/Shoreland Regulations.
Chair Pederson opened the public hearing.
John Weicht, 13330 Island View Driver, representing the applicant, explained that they
did not address the bluff issue because they knew the grading would be more than 20 feet
from the river. He noted that the City went through a special process to remove these types
of restrictions from certain properties along the river due to the high elevation of the bluff.
