Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Lizabeth Cameron for the position of communications coordinator
effective March 18, 2019.
Background/Discussion
We went to market to fill our vacant communications coordinator position, received 65 applications and
interviewed 6 candidates. Following background and reference checks, we recommend Lizabeth Cameron
for this position.
Ms. Cameron has been working in the marketing and communications field since 1999. Most recently, she
is the Digital Content Lead at Sherburne County Area United Way. Ms. Cameron has an education in
graphic design, commercial art/advertising design, and an associate’s degree in interactive media/graphic
design.
Ms. Cameron will be starting at step 1 of pay grade 8E. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city
policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
