Proclaim September 1, 2019, as Steve Dittbenner Day in the City of Elk River
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Fire Department respectfully requests Firefighter Steve Dittbenner be recognized by the
City of Elk River for the extraordinary service to the community as a firefighter for over 40 years.
Firefighter Dittbenner was hired as an on call firefighter on September 1, 1978, and became the Elk River
Ambulance Coordinator, a title he still holds today.
Firefighter Dittbenner has provided countless First Aid/CPR training sessions to our community as well
as the surrounding areas including many city employees and family members. The Elk River Fire
Department greatly appreciates the excellent service Steve Dittbenner has provided with honor,
dedication, sacrifice, and commitment throughout his noteworthy career.
