DISCUSSION:
• Delivered twelve new water meters.
• Sealed fourteen water meters, and took curb stop ties for these water services.
• Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH
• Completed 21 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
• The Well #8 Control Building went out for bid on March 23.The bids will be opened at
1:00 p.m. on April 29.
• We opened the gates at the Lake Orono Dam on March 23 to meet the demand of
increased, incoming water flow from the spring snow melt.The fire department sprayed
water on the gates to thaw the ice that was preventing the gates from opening. ERMU's
communications department put together a video of the procedure.The link to the
video is provided below.
• Cell phone providers are required to have their antenna equipment off of Auburn Street
Water Tower by June 1 for the tower painting project that will begin in June. We are
working with the wastewater department to get their Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA) antenna moved to the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) #5 building.
• The vacant Water Operator position was posted on March 23 and closed April 5.
Interviews will be scheduled for the week of April 15.
• The water operators continue to perform annual maintenance on the WTPs.
