Action Requested
Approve,by motion, the hiring of Grace O'Konek to the position of Community Service Officer I
effective April 16, 2019.
Background/Discussion
When CSOI Studniski was promoted to police officer in February,we recruited internally to fill this
CSOI position. Following an interview and updated background check,we recommend Grace O'Konek
to this position.
Ms. O'Konek has been a police reserve officer for the city since August of 2018. She is currently in the
Associate Degree Law Enforcement program at North Hennepin Community College and plans to
continue on to achieve her Bachelor's Degree.
Ms. O'Konek will begin at step A of pay grade 6N. Pay and benefits for this part-time temporary position
will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
