Action Requested
Approve,by motion, the hiring of Kimberly Freeman to the position of fulltime liquor store clerk
effective April 23, 2019.
Background/Discussion
When fulltime liquor store clerk Jake Larson resigned we went to market to fill this position. Over the
course of two recruitment efforts,we received 20 applications. During the first recruitment we
interviewed all of the qualified candidates and were unsuccessful in finding a hire. For the second
recruitment we interviewed three candidates and recommend Kimberly Freeman for this position.
Ms. Freeman has experience working in retail at Tractor Supply and has experience working at a bar and
grill which sold off-sale liquor. In her recent past,Ms. Freeman worked as a head milker and a farm
manager and has recently moved back to the area from North Carolina and has been working through a
temporary agency.
Ms. Freeman will begin at step A of pay grade 6N. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
