SUBJECT: Interview and Consider Appointments to Heritage Preservation
Commission
Cynthia Olson verbally resigned from the Heritage Preservation Commission this past week.
There are now two open seats on the Heritage Preservation Commission. As you are aware,
Linde Pouti also recendy resigned from this Commission. Due to the first resignation the
city proceeded to advertise for the vacancy with postings at City Hall and on the city's
web site, and also with an ad placed in the Star News for two weeks with an application
deadline of June 1,2005.
The city has received two applications and both applicants are scheduled to be at the June 6,
2005 Council meeting for interviews.
Action Requested
1) Accept Resignation of Cynthia Olson.
2) Interview the two applicants.
3) If so desired, appoint two representatives to the Heritage Preservation Commission
with the following term expirations:
· February 28,2006
· February 28, 2007
