Select two city council members to participate in a land use and development discussion with city, county
staff and two county commissioners.
Background/Discussion
The county owns two separate pieces of shovel-ready property adjacent to the government center, a 33.89
acre site, and an 8.15 acre site. The property is zoned business park and the city and county are actively
marketing the property for future data center development.
City and county staff would like to discuss the county-owned property as well as future land use in Elk
River with two members of the council and two county commissioners in which both the city and the
county may have a joint interest.
The county board will be selecting two commissioners at their June 11 meeting. A meeting will be
scheduled in late June.
