DISCUSSION:
• Had 14 new house services.
• Continue collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits.
• Continued rebuilding the three phase overhead line on Jarvis Street between 165th
Avenue and Highway 10.
• Continue installing the infrastructure required for the acquisition of Area 7. We will be
acquiring Area 7 and 8 in September.
• We are going through the new GIS map book and verifying that it matches what is in the
field. As part of this process the equipment is inspected and repairs are made as
needed.
• We removed the single phase overhead line feeding five billboards along Hwy 10, and
replaced it with three phase underground line beneath Hwy 10 for future development.
• A vehicle struck a three phase pole on 165th Avenue that we had to replace.
• Installed the electric infrastructure for three signs for the parks department.
• Chris Sumstad attended the Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA)
Underground School held May 14-17 in Marshall, MN.
• 1 serve on the MMUA Job Safety and Training Committee; this committee helps plan the
schools MMUA puts on throughout the year. At our recent meeting, we organized
details for the Overhead School coming up in September, and the 3rd Annual Minnesota
Lineman Rodeo to be held the Monday before the school.
• Our new Apprentice Lineworker, Matt Zipp, started on June 5.
