Action Requested
Council to interview Zachary Griffiths for the Heritage Preservation Commission. If appointed, Mr.
Griffiths’ term would begin immediately and expire February 28, 2021.
Background/Discussion
There is one vacancy on the Heritage Preservation Commission. The position has been vacant for quite
some time and has been advertised per the Advisory Board and Commission Policy.

swapping grass for wood chips, and providing landscaping work.
Additionally, I have over seventy hours of volunteer work with the
Minnesota Historical Society though preforming with, and
leading, the Historic Fort Snelling Fife and Drum Corps, in
addition to aiding fort staff in special events. Finally, from North
Hennepin Community College, I have accumulated over twenty
hours of archival management and research experience; that
North Hennepin experience resulted in a paper which was
published in the college's scholarly journal titled Northern Light.
