A special meeting of the Elk River Villa.ge Council was called to order by Mayor
Bartelt on July 20, 1971 at B:30 pm in the Council Room of the Village Office
Building. Members ~esent were Mayor Bartelt and Councilmen Hudson, Konop and otto.
The Council met as a canvassing board for the purpose of canvasing the results of
the July 20, 1971 special bond election. Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded
by Counci~ Konop, to accept the results of the election. Motion unamiously carried.
William Mills, Village Engineer reported that Sherburne County has given the Village
permission to trench cut Meadowvale R~d for the sanitary sewer and watermain
impro vemerit s.
Moved by Councrlman Otto and seconded by Councilman Hudson, to accept the low bid
of Three-Way Construction for the construction of sanitary sewer and watermain
extensions on Vernon Avenue from their present terminals on Vernon Avenue North on
Vernon 'Avenue to Meadowvale R~d thence Northwest on Meadowvale Road to York Avenue,
thence West and South on York Avenue to connect to the present terminals, Three-~'iay
Construction being judged competent by the Village Engineer and authorizing the
VJaydr and the ~eputy Clerk-Treasurer to sign a contract in the amount of $3B,3Bl.06. ( )
Motion unaminously ca.rried. A copy of the resolution is attachedo

A request was received from Mr. Lenzmeier, to utilize 'three parking spaces in front
of the Ben Franklin Store for a sidewalk sale to be held Thursday, July 22, 1971.
Agreeable with the Council members.
~oved.by Councilman Hudson and, seconded by Councilman Otto, to allow the Mayor,
Counc~lmen and Clerk-Treasurer, an mileage allowance of 9i per mile while
t~aveling outside the village on offic8L business. Motion unaminously carried.
