The regular serrQ-monthly meeting of the Blk River Village Counci\ was called to order
by Mayor Bartel~ on Jan. 3, 1972 at 7:30 pm/in the Council Room of the Village Office
Building. Hembers were present as follows: Mayor Bartelt and Councilmen Hudson, Syring,

Ctto and Konop.
~The minutes of the Dec. 20, 1971 regular meeting were read. There were no addition or
~correctio~ and the minutes were approved as read.
Lloyd Barthel advised the council that the new fire truck, was not equipped with fire hoses!
and that the State has specific code requirements. He was instructed to obtain some
price quotatio~ for the councils review.
Tom Hellestodt, Jody Gorcke, Julie Larson, Nancy Olson) appeared in regards to Main Tap's
set~up license pending whether there was arything that) could be done so that the minors
could still, patronize the establishment. V~. Carlson is fixing ~ a recreation room/
in the rear of his place accessible, only by a rear entrance and a Q:Jen window between the
tap room. On advise of Council it was suggested/that the set-up license stipulat~the
actual footage from front to rear of building to not include the recreation room before
a set-up license could be approved.
Lyn Moore, Phil Syles and Don Wille representing the Jaycees donated $50.00 to the
Sw~ng Pool Fund.
It was agreeable with the council that Rex Oetinge~ would not have to attend the Bldg.
Code Seminar this year) because it was felt that the course of study would only be a
review.
Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to approve Rnd proceed with
the plans as presented by Don Kruse Village Draftsma~at the $25.50 cost for reproducing
Othe map layouts. l~otion unaminously carried.
Moved by Counci~an Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to adopt the sale of the
~1,015,OOO.OO Electric Revenu$e 1971 Bond. Motion unaminously carried. Copy of
the resolution is attached.
Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Otto to reappoint John MacGibbon
as Village Attorney} for the year of 1972 and require his attendance at every regular
meeting. Motion ~naminously carried.
Moved by Councilman Otto and Seconded by Councilman Syring to reappoint} Lloyd Barthel as
Fire Chief for the year of 1972. fiotion unaminously carried.
Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Hudson to reappoint Dr. Sommers
as Public Health Officer for the year of 1972. Motion unaminously carried.
Moved by CounciL~an Hudson and seconded by Councilman Konop to reappoint Albert Bailey
and Richard Gongoll to a 3 year term on the Planning Con~ssion Board. Motion
unamiously carried.
Moved by Councilman Konop and seconded by Councilman Otto to grant Main Tap'S Set-up
license as presented, stating limits to qe the North 75 feet by 45 feet to be licensed.
Motion unaminously carried.
