Action Requested
Adopt,by motion, a resolution acknowledging contributions to the Parks and Recreation Department.
Background/Discussion
The Parks and Recreation Department has recently received a number of donations from groups and
organizations.
The dontations are intended to support the Elk RiverFest and the Farmers Market community as listed
on the attached Exhibit A.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statue 465.03, donations and contributions shall be approved for acceptance and
resolutions are required to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
Financial Impact
The fininacial contribution is a total of$9,000 for the Farmers Market and$8,000 for ElkRiverFest.

Resolution 19-
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2019 from various
organizations, as itemized on Exhibit A, attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the organizations listed on Exhibit A for
their donations.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof-

resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
