SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF REVIEW HELD IN THE
VILLAGE OFFICE BUILDING
May 30, 1973 at 8:00 PM.
The Elk River Village Council met as a Board of Review at 8:00 PM. May 30, 1973
members were present as follows: Mayor Hilmer Bartelt, Councilmen Clifford Lundberg,
Tom Hudson, Robert Syring, and Robert Otto. Dale Palmer, Sherburne County Assessor
and Glenn Powell member of the County Assessors Staff were in attendance.
The following property owners met with the Board of Review for the purpose of entering
their complaints as to having been unjustly valuated.
The Board met with each individual separately in the order as listed:
Lawrence Westholter- 953 Proctor Ave.
Leo F. Carey Sr. - 1175 5th Street
C.E. Pink - 936 Main Street
Leonard Kokett- Irving Ave.
Leonard Eiden - 604-6th Street
Dean Baily - 1217-5th Street
Roger Hanson - 1520 Meadowvale Road
Herbert Johnson - 520-3rd St.
It was concluded by the Board of Review that these valuations were fairly valued and
no changes were made with the exceptions of Roger Hanson.
Roger Hanson, Valuation was reviewed and it was concluded by the Board of Review that
due to the fact that his house is the only house in the area and that it is surronded
by the tile factory thus restricting his re-sale market value as residential property.
The County Assessor will take another look at this property for the purpose of
re-valuating.
No further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:45 PM.
