SPECIAL MEETING
ELK RIVER VILLAGE COUNCIL
HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE VILLAGE OFFICE BUILDING
October 24, 1973 at 5:30 PM.
A Special Meeting of the Elk River Village Council was called to order by Mayor Lundberg
on October 24, 1973 at 5:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the Village Office Building.
Members were present as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmen, Hudson & Otto.
Village Engineer Wm. Mills and associate Mr. McCorrbs met with the Council and presented
the bid tabulation on the Parking Lot Project for Councils review.
Receiving of the bids for the downtown parking lot project was declared closed at 2:00 PM.
Oct. 23, 1973 by Bill Mills. Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Hudson
to accept and award the lowest bid for the Downtown Parking Lot Project submitted by
Severson Excavating CO. at the bid price of $44,999.99 upon the recommendation on
tabulation proof of Village Engr. Wm. Mills. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0.
Moved by Councilman Hudson and seconded by Councilman otto to accept the preliminary asse-
ment roll dated Oct. 23, 1973 prepared by Mills Engr. Co. and to authorize the Village Clerk
Treasurer to advertise in the Sherburne County Star News of a Assessement Hearing to be
held in the Council Chambers of the Village Office Building at 8:00 Pm. Monday
November 19, 1973 for the 1973 Street Improvements. Motion unanimously carried by a vote
of 3-0.
Moved by Councilman Otto and seconded by Councilman Hudson to approve the list of
Municipal Liquor Store bills for payment as listed. A copy of the list is attached.
Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0.
The Council approved that 3 extra part-time patrolmen could be used plus the regular
patrolman on duty and to pay mileage for one extra car for patroling on Holloween night.
No further business, the mee ting adjourned at 5:38 PM.
