12-10-1973 CC MIN - SPECIAL
SPECIAL MEETING
HELD IN THE ELK RIVER VILLAGE OFFICE OFFICE BLDG.
December 10, 1973 at 1:00 PM.
A Special Meeting was held various officals representing Burlington Northern,
Minnesota Highway Department, US. Environmental Protection Agency, Minnesota
Pollution Control Agency, Department of Natural Resources, Elk River Village Council
~nd staff members for the purpose of combined efforts by all Departments inorder to
set-up some type of clean-up schedule.
The following results were attained:
I. BN gave the Village & Minn. Highway Dept. permission to start clean-up operation
on streets and highways and to proceed with what ever measures were necessary inorder
to get things cleaned-up as soon as possible and to transport the product to a
common pick-up point on Railroad Drive.
II. BN will hire contractors to clean-up the storm sewers and construct catch basin at
the out-lets and pick up the oil along the Mississippi River banks. BN will work in
conjunction with MPCA for their final approval.
No further business the meeting adjourned at 1:55 PM.
