SUBJECT: Resolution Acknowledging Contribution to the City of Elk River from
the Elk River Lions Club
The City of Elk River recendy received a donation in the amount of $1000.00 from the Elk River
Lions Club to be used for the Fourth of July Celebration fIreworks.
Attached is a resolution acknowledging the Elk River Lions Club's contribution to the City of Elk
River.
Action Requested
It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from the Elk River Lions Club pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all CIV1C groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $1000.00 donation from the Elk River lions
Club with the intent it be used by the City of Elk River for the Fourth of July Celebration
fIreworks; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend the Elk River Lions Club for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 20th day of June 2005.
