Call Special City Council Meeting for June 27, 2005, 6:30 p.m. to
Meet with Sathe Executive Search (Greg Albrecht) Regarding
the Community Development Director Position
The City Council should consider calling a special meeting for next Monday, June 27, 2005
in order to meet with Greg Albrecht from Sathe Executive Search to discuss the status of
the community development director selection process. This meeting should be held at
6:30 p.m. at City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to have Mr. Albrecht present to the
City Council the finalists for the city community development director position. It is
anticipated that Mr. Albrecht will be presenting three candidates for further consideration by
the City Council.
Also at this June 27 special meeting a discussion should take place regarding interview topics
and questions; and, a date needs to be selected for holding the interviews. Due to the agenda
that is growing for the July 11 worksession, it is recommended that a special meeting be held
by the City Council on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 in order to hold the community development
director interviews. If this date works, then we need to talk about a timeframe for the
interviews and getting together 30 minutes in advance of the interviews to review the
interview questions and process.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council call a special meeting for June 27, 2005 at 6:30 p.m.
at City Hall in order to select the final candidates for the community development director
position, establish an interview date for the applicants, and to review interview
questions/ topics.
