'I'.he improvements include: $26 million Multipurpose Facilit� (arena/fieldhouse/meeting-cN eut space) S 1.5 million Senior Center I �aciiity S1 i-nillion Lake Orono Dredging 52 million 'Trails 52.5 million bake Orono Pari: 52 million Youth Athletic Complex Council is now considering whether to acid space for senior sen -ices in the facility or to remodel the current Activity Center. If successful, ice would be kept in The Olympic Rink during construction of the two nein rinks and one of the new rinks would likely be up by the start of the 2019-20 season. The question will be on Noti•cmber G General Flection 13a1[ot. If the question fails, the scope of the improvements will be reduced to $16 million for the replacement of The Barn Rink and The Olympic Rink refrigeration system and S1 million foi- dredging bake Orono. The $17 million improvements would be financed through bonds paid by property taxes. During this phased construction, there would likely be no ice in the summer of 2019 anal one rink open for the 2019-20 season with portable locker rooms and restrooms. Cleaned and painted the lobby walls. Top ends rebuilt on compressors; Barn # 2/Olyinpic # 1. 01 m is Ice Plant This summer, we repaired five leaks on the Olympic ice plant, two were of significant in size. Due to these leaks, we have put 1,600 pounds of refrigeration into the system. Even with regular leak checks, leaks are hard to detect because they can be very small at first and can leak several pounds of refrigeration before detected.
