July 6, 1959
The board of Elk River township met \[at\] the Court house with all members present.

the first order of business was to pay gopher bounty to those present. the following gopher and

A.E. Larson appeared to see if the Town would pay for the leveling of the road into his addition. It
was decided that the Town could pay for the leveling also the clay hauled out.
Next order of business was the matter of a beer liscense \[sic\] to the new bowling alley. Mr. Weirs &
a delegation presented their problem. Mrs. Weirs presented his application for approval. There was
much discussion pro & con the final decision was to give him a one year beer liscense \[sic\] on
approval. If there is any complaints the board has the right to reject any applications in the future.
The vote was two in favor one opposed.
