ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
April 2, 1962
The town board met in regular session with all members present.

The first order of business was a group consisting of John Olson Erwin Specht and Toby Dietz who
were present to request some improvements in the South East part of Elk River township.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellwyn Hamlett met with the board in regard to whether they can sell their land for
various purposes. Hamlett asked if the Board would allow a smelter to melt down metal and cars.
There didn’t seem to be any objection if he only stored 2 or 3 cars then burned and disposed of
them.
