Approve,by motion, the termination of Clifford Anderson effective October 7, 2019.
Background/Discussion
Fire Marshal Cliff Anderson has been on a leave of absence and has exhausted his FMLA and paid leave
time.
The fire marshal position is essential to the city and our fire department has been severely challenged with
the absence. In light of this,we have made the difficult decision to request the termination of Mr.
Anderson's employment so we can fill this position.
At this time,no action is being taken on Mr. Anderson's position on the Elk River Fire Department. He
remains on a leave of absence status with the department.
