DISCUSSION:
• The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) met on
September 24, 2019 at Shakopee Public Utilities in Shakopee, Minnesota. Commissioner
Al Nadeau was in attendance; I was unavailable to attend this meeting.
The Board approved Baird, Kurtz & Dobson (BKD) LLP as MMPA's financial statement
auditor for 2019.
The Board received an update on the refurbishment and life extension project for the
Agency's Hometown Wind turbines.
The Board discussed the status of the renewable projects the Agency is pursuing.
Participation in MMPA's residential Clean Energy Choice program increased over
August, with a market penetration that is at 3.3%.
• I will be out of the office next week for the American Public Power Association (APPA)
Board and RP3 panel meetings. Mark Fuchs, Operations Director, will be in charge while
I am out. I will be available by email and cell phone.
• October 7 was the scheduled date for my third quarter meeting with Greg Ridderbusch,
the President and CEO of Connexus Energy.
• The posting for the vacant IT/OT Manager position closed on September 26.The
applications were review and rated. Interviews have been scheduled for the first two
weeks in October.
• We received a letter from the Kissimmee Utility Authority Board of Directors thanking
ERMU for sending a mutual aid crew when requested in preparation for Hurricane

Dorian.The letter is attached. As in the past, related mutual aid expenses will be
reimbursed.

willingness to provide mutual aid support to us while we were bracing for the potential impact of Hurricane
Dorian. While our community was spared the devastation of the storm due to its late tracking change,others
were not as fortunate. Our community is currently working on ways to provide aid to those who were
impacted by Hurricane Dorian,just as you did for us.
