Monthly Progress Report – September 2019
Multipurpose Facility
September 2-6
▪Excavation and fill removal from the site continued as earthwork crews progressed in getting the
site up to proper grade. (1)
▪Utility crews continued to excavate and install the new water line and storm sewer piping. (2)
▪Mason crews completed blockwork for the Zamboni room and enclosed the area.
September 9-13
▪The new water line installation completed.
▪Rebar layouts for the multipurpose facility’s foundation was laid. (5)
▪The south end of the site was graded which will become the material staging zone and designated
contractor parking area.
September 16-20
▪ Foundation work continued and pouring of the footings began. (4)
September 23-27
▪Foundation work is nearing completion!
▪Masons began blockwork in the northwest corner which will be the site of new locker rooms. (3)
▪Masonry work continues for the next few weeks to complete blockwork by late October.

September 2-6
▪Earthwork crews began milling the existing parking lot.
▪Soil correction analyses continued.
September 9-13
▪New fill was brought in to perform soil corrections necessary to begin construction of the
expanded parking area and new pavilion. (1)
▪Installation of the new water line underway. (2)
September 16-20
▪Hauling operations went into full effect to remove saturated, organic soils and replace with new
sand fill to support the new parking area and pavilion. (4)
▪Water and sewer installation continued.
September 23-27
▪Parking lot inspection led to a decision to use GeoGrid ®, a soil reinforcement product placed
between the sand and asphalt milling sections to improve the sub-base of the parking area.
▪Challenging soil conditions found a backhoe in a sticky situation (it was able to get out). (5)
▪Storm sewer line installation continued.
▪Grading of the ballfields and further soil correction work continued at the pavilion site. (3)
