Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Kim Doglio for the position of Accountant effective November 12,
2019.
Background/Discussion
During our hiring processes for payroll specialist and accounting clerk, we interviewed Kim Doglio for
each of these positions. Ms. Doglio’s background includes accountant work for municipalities in Illinois.
We felt that she would be a great fit for our accountant position rather than for the positions we had
advertised. When Lori Stich was promoted to assistant finance director, we offered Ms. Doglio the
accountant position.
Ms. Doglio has been the accountant/treasurer for the City of Wilmington, Illinois, for the past six years
and before that was the accountant for the Township of Joliet, Illinois, for seven years. She also worked
for Easter Seals in accounts payable and as the senior accountant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting.
Ms. Doglio will start at step A of pay grade 7E. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
