VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
January 15, 1940
The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday Jan 15, 1940 at 8
o’clock P.M.
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres.; Frank Nickerson, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; Wm H Greupner,
Clerk
The purpose of this meeting was to take care of the relief clients as follows
Chas Kurrasch - Lights $1.00 Groceries $13.00 Fuel $12.76 Milk $3.00
Joe Belanger - 3 pr overshoes $3.50
Gerald Sykes – Milk $1.50 Groc $5.00 Fuel $5.00
August Luder - 1 pr girls skiepants $3.50 Boys underwear $1.00
Harry Anderson - Fuel $5.00 Groc $3.00
Ed Keegan – Monticello rest Hospital $20.00
Supplies at Boyds Drugs store Monticello ?
A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Frank Nickerson to approve H.J. Pfeiffers bond as
Justice of Peace.
M.C. Tesch, Pres. Appointed G.A. Bailey and Frank Nickerson as a committee to see about getting
2 acres of wood to have relief clients work out their relief orders.
A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Frank Nickerson to allow the bill of Louis A
Johnson for $15.00 for wood.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
