VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
March 18, 1940
A meeting of the Council was held Monday March 18, 1940 at 8 o’clock P.M.
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres.; Geo Cornelius, G.A. Bailey and Frank Nickerson, Trustees; Wm
H Greupner, Clerk
Mrs. Honara Roberts applied for an old age and sickness home license. A motion was made by G.A.
Bailey seconded by Frank Nickerson to grant Mrs. Roberts this license for $1.00. The clerk
instructed to have Dr. Rochlke, health officer investigate her home.
The following relief clients were taken care of
Gladys Hulbert – Milk $1.00, Groc $4.00
A doctor examination and also have her teeth extracted.
Harry Anderson – Groc $5.00, Milk $1.50
Vernel Burgoyne – Groc $3.00
Carl Bartz – Groc $10.00
James Lero – rent $6.00 from Mar 1 to Apr 10 and Groc $5.00
No further business, meeting adjourned.
