VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 3, 1940
A special meeting of the Council was held Wednesday April 3, 1940 at 7:30 PM at the Municipal
Bldg
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres.; Geo Cornelius, G.A. Bailey, and Frank Nickerson, Trustees; Wm
H Greupner, Clerk
A.J. Duvall representing the Foltz King and Day Co presented his report on the sewer system and
two different types of disposal plants. It was decided the council members make a trip the following
Monday to different towns and look over the different disposal plants after which a W.P.A. project
could be drawn up.
A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Geo Cornelius that the Village hire Mr. Buckneberg
as a Village band leader at $100.00 a month for June, July and Aug or the Village turn over not to
exceed $350.00 to the school board and have them hire him for the whole year. The band leader to
take care of the concerts and any other band work the Village might have during the year.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
