08-13-1940 VCM Special VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING August 13, 1940 A special meeting of the council was held Aug 13, 1940 to meet with S. Rex Green and Harold Chard representatives of the Minnesota Highway Department to look over the proposed plans for the trunk Highway No. 10 which is to be constructed thru Elk River. After looking over the plans a motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by Frank Nickerson to pass the following resolution. S.R. 7101 (1033) S.P. 7702) Sherburne County Resolution Approving the general plans for the construction and improvement of Trunk Highway No. 10, formerly Truck Highway No. 3. Resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River. Whereas the Commissioners of Highway of the State of Minnesota is about to designate the location of Trunk Highway No. 10, formerly designated Trunk Highway No. 3. Resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River. Whereas, the Commissioners of Highways of the State of Minnesota is about to designate the location of Trunk Highway No. 10, formally designated Trunk Highway No. 3 through the Village of Elk River as shown upon the plan which is presented herewith and made a part here of, and Whereas, said Commissioner of Highways proposes to construct and improve said trunk highway through said Village and has prepared plans for said construction and improvement a copy of which said plans are presented herewith and made a part of this resolution; Be it resolved that said general plan for the construction and improvement of said trunk highway through said Village be and the same hereby are approved.
