VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 27, 1940
A special meeting of the council was held Aug 27, 1940
The purpose of this meeting was to meet with Gladys Hulbert. She stated that she would be able to
get free board and room at St Cloud providing the Village would pay for her tuition to go to school
there.
It was decided to pay the three months tuition which was fifteen dollars and also notify Mr. E.R.
Halter that the Village would have Gladys Hulbert’s furniture moved from his home by Tuesday
Sept. third.
A motion was made by Wm Greupner seconded by Frank Nickerson to hire Robert Cornelius as
school patrol for ten dollars a month.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
