VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
November 18, 1940
A meeting of the Council was held Monday Nov 18, 1940 at 8 o’clock P.M. at the Municipal Bldg
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres; G.A. Bailey, and Frank Nickerson, Trustees; Wm H Greupner,
Clerk
A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Frank Nickerson to grant Gladys Hulbert 2 pair
stockings, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of overshoes and have her send her other shoes in to be repaired.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Wm. Greupner seconded by Frank Nickerson to pay Rudolph Reinke’s
doctor bill of $6.75. Motion carried.
The matter of shoveling sidewalks after a storm was discussed and it was decided to put a notice in
the paper notifying everyone and if they did not do it an ordinance would have to be made up to
take care of this problem.
A motion was made by Frank Nickerson seconded by G.A. Bailey to appoint the following judges
and clerks for the December election. Wm Greupner and Mrs. Foley as clerks, JC Anderson, Mrs.
Kaliher and H.J. Pfeiffer as judges. Motion carried.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
