12-02-1940 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING December 2, 1940 The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg. Monday Dec 2, 1940 at 8 o’clock. Members present: M.C. Tesch, Pres; Geo Cornelius, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; Wm H Greupner, Clerk The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. A letter was read from Gladys Hulbert stating that her tuition at St Cloud Teachers College was due at this time and requested the Council to take care of this matter and also send her a pair of wool mittens. A motion was made by G.A. Bailey and seconded by Geo Cornelius to allow the above request. Motion carried. A letter was read from Mike Tracy stating that he was only working part time for the Highway Dept and is not able to help his father and asked if the Council would give his father some assistance in paying his rent and getting fuel. Mr. Davies said he would see Mr. Tracy and report back to the relief committee. A motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by G.A. Bailey to allow the following bills. N.W.
