VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
October 2, 1939
The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday October 2, 1939
at 8 o’clock P.M.
Members present:
Frank Nickerson, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Wm Patenaude, and Geo Cornelius, Trustees;
Wm H Greupner, Clerk
The minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Geo Cornelius to adopt the following budget for
the year 1940
General $6000.00
Road and Bridge $3000.00
Pool $800.00
Library $350.00
Band 2 mills
Wm Greupner, Clerk wanted the opinion of the council as to whether he should print the financial
statement in detail or as it had been printed in farmers years. It was decided to the leave the matter
up to Frank White, Village attorney.
A motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by G.A. Bailey to grant the following Bldg permits.
Wm Belanger, home, Wm Patenaude, home, Rohl Patenaude, home.
A motion was made by G.A. Bailey seconded by Geo Cornelius to allow the following bills.
