VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
December 4, 1939
The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg Monday December 4,
1939 at 8 o’clock P.M.
Members present:
Frank Nickerson, Pres.; G.A. Bailey, Wm Patenaude, and Geo Cornelius, Trustees;
Wm H Greupner, Clerk
The minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
Geo Cornelius reported about his talk with Henry Arnold of Princeton, about the water pipe for
upper town, which was to be used for a fire hydrant. Mr. Arnold said a job like this would cost in
the neighborhood of $500.00. After giving the matter consideration it was decided not to have this
done at the present time.
A motion was made by Wm. Greupner seconded by Geo Cornelius to grant S.R. Houlton a building
permit to build a small play house for the children. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Geo Cornelius seconded by Wm Patenaude to allow the following bills.
