VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING

A meeting of the Village Council was held at the Municipal Bldg on Feb 17, 1941 at 7:30 P.M.
Members present:
M.C. Tesch, Pres; Frank Nickerson, E.L. Shadick, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; J.
Clinton Walker, Clerk
The following relief clients were taken care of:
L.J. Bethke - $10 Grocery order
Chester Waite – ½ ton of coal
F. Carlson - $10 Grocery order
John Swanson was recommended for W.P.A. certification.
A motion was made by Frank Nickerson and seconded by E.L. Shadick approving the list of non-
conservation bank forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes for the year of 1931
and 1933 as provided by Chapter 386, Laws of 1935, as amended.

Motion carried
A motion was made by E.L. Shadick and seconded by Frank Nickerson approving the application of
R.C. O’Riley for off and on sale beer licenses. Motion carried.
The clerk was instructed to send notices to those delinquent on water rents advising them that
service would be discontinued if the accounts were not settled within ten days.
