Adopt, by motion, a resolution accepting donation of art for the Elk River Library.
Background/Discussion
Anthony James would like to donate art for display at the library. Mr. James purchased a photo titled, Elk
River Bandstand, no.02a of 06a, from the Sherburne County Historical Society. He was given permission by
the historical society to create the art.
Mr. James used old barn wood from his father’s home and created the art by transferring an image of the
photo onto the wood. Library staff is aware of the request.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a donation of art for display from Anthony
James with the intent it be displayed at the Elk River Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Mr. James for his donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
