Background/Discussion The Energy City Commission currently meets four times per year on the third Wednesday of the month. Due to other commitments and time constraints of the members, they would like to start the meetings earlier at 8:00 a.m. concluding at 10:00 a.m. rather than the current meeting time of 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. No other changes to the schedule or ordinance. That § 2-355, Meetings and rules of procedure of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended to read as follows: The energy city commission shall meet at least four times each calendar year. The dates, times, and locations shall be as follows: third Wednesday of February, May, August, and November at 8:30 8:00 a.m. at Elk River City Hall. Additional meetings may be held at any time at the call of the chair or the request of two other commissioners. Notice of additional meetings, including the time and place thereof, shall be communicated to each member of the commission at least three days prior to the meeting, posted at city hall, and if time permits, published in the city's official newspaper. The commission shall be governed and operated pursuant to the most recent edition of Robert's Rules of Order.
