Appoint, by motion, a member of the City Council to the Public Art Judging Panel.
Background/Discussion
At their July 15, 2019, meeting, the EDA approved the request for proposal for a public art installation in
Elk River.
Staff is in the process of re-establishing the public art judging panel to review the proposals we expect to
receive by December 6, 2019. The panel will meet once in January of 2020.
Staff is seeking one City Council member to participate in the judging panel. Barb Burandt was the
council representative the last time we had a similar project.
Once an artist is selected through the process, an application for the Central MN Arts Board grant would be
submitted in early 2020.
